If you've ever encountered difficulty in accomplishing anything of significance, The War of Art, Steven Pressfield's classic book on how to overcome our internal resistance is a must-read.
I tried it a few years ago and didn't like it at the time. I just gave it another shot based on a friend's recommendation and it's one of the most motivating and enlightening books for creatives of all stripes, who struggle with tackling difficult and challenging projects, more often than they care to admit.
The one lesson to retain? Discipline is the single most important aspect to accomplishing anything, creative or not.
It's a quick read that's worth is weight in gold.
