Nassim Taleb is one of the great thinkers of our time. His ideas laid out within the course of 5 books, part of a series called Incerto, deal with uncertainty, rare events, fragility and generally the fallibility of human knowledge.
While his books do not represent a didactic approach to dealing with uncertainty, they provide the reader with a dramatic shift in perspective and forever change the way we view the world. There isn't a single one of his books that I did not enjoy reading (in reality, I couldn't put them down).
Now is the perfect time to read these books (again), while they may not provide a solution to our immediate problems, they will change the way we look at the world and how we take risks and help make sense of the catastrophe that we are currently living through.
If you have free time on your end, this will be one of the best ways to make the most out of this pandemic.
