Daniel Miessler wrote this very interesting piece about the relationship between hardship, struggle and meaning.
While this is only an opinion piece, it makes some very valid and interesting points about how hardship makes us more resilient and something I think about all the time.
Some of my "best years" were those that brought challenge after challenge, that I had no choice but to overcome, while some of the worst were those where I allowed myself to coast, be comfortable and therefore become complacent.
