There are two times during the year where architectural photographers get very busy. The first one is in the late spring, roughly May-June when clients realize that nice weather and greenery are back, allowing them to take pictures of completed projects to spruce up their portfolio. The second one, by far the busiest is the "oh shit" season, from Labour Day to the time the leaves have entirely fallen off the trees and the weather gets substantially colder which can be anywhere from early October to November, depending on the year. This is when a number of clients realize that they still have a bunch of un-photographed projects and often scramble to organize last-minute shoots.
Since we've had some exceptional weather this year thus far, it's been a very busy time for us, quite possibly our busiest fall ever, hence the sporadic postings on this blog. As much as I'd like to post everyday, multiple shoots a week and travel schedules must take precedence.
Things should be returning to normal now as we're wrapping up our last few weather-dependent, architecture shoots of the season, before moving on to interiors for the winter and other communications projects.
While it may be too late to organize a photoshoot in the small window of decent weather that's left, you can always contact me with your project idea, we may have some tricks up our sleeves that could make a late-fall or even winter shoot possible.
Otherwise, it'll happen in the spring.
